SHAGNHAI, Jun. 30 (SMM) – Total nickel ore inventories at China’s five major ports, namely Rizhao, Lanshan, Lianyungang, Tianjin, and Jingtang increased by 163,000 tonnes last week to hit 14.14 million tonnes, SMM data shows.

A total of 11 ships carrying nickel ore arrived at the Port of Lianyungang last week, with seven more expected before July. The large number of ships and limited consumption caused nickel ore stocks at the port to grow by 200,000 tonnes, the largest increase among the five ports. Stable sales and arrivals were reported from both Lanshan and Rizhao ports. Stocks at the Port of Tianjin fell last week by 150,000 tonnes since NPI plants picked up goods from the port.

Details are shown in table below (Unit:1,000 tonnes).
