158 galvanizes were shut down in Anping county, Hebei province for failing to meet environment protection inspections, xinmin.cn reported today.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 18 (SMM) – 158 galvanizes were shut down in Anping county, Hebei province for failing to meet environment protection inspections, xinmin.cn reported today. 

Small galvanizers, small oil refineries and small steel mills were major targets of the recent environmental drive, it said. 

The latest SMM survey of Chinese galvanizers, mainly in north, east and south China, revealed that average operating rate fell 4.7% from April to 82.2% in May.
