SMM Rare Earth Weekly Survey: Rare Earth Prices Expected to Hold Steady (Oct. 8-Nov. 1, 2013)

Prices for rare earth products are expected to hold steady.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 4 (SMM) – Some enterprises speculated that the State Reserve Bureau may purchase rare earth for state reserve recently after Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare Earth released its offers for rare earth products last week, and refused to make quotations. Prices for rare earth products are expected to hold steady.

 
Last week, the average price was RMB 26,500/mt for lanthanum oxide, RMB 26,000/mt for cerium oxide, RMB 570,000/mt for praseodymium oxide, RMB 345,000/mt for neodymium oxide, RMB 332,000/mt for didymium oxide, RMB 4,840/kg for europium oxide, RMB 1,880/kg for dysprosium oxide, RMB 180,000/mt for gadolinium oxide, RMB 46,000/mt for cerium misch metal, RMB 430,000/mt for praseodymium-neodymium alloy, and RMB 201,000/mt for dysprosium-iron alloy.
