Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare-Earth (Group) Hi-Tech Company announced its rare earth dressing plant will suspend production for half a year on July 1 for the first time this year. Market players anticipate leading rare earth producers will suspend production to protect prices.

Praseodymium Oxide Price Rose Slightly
Praseodymium oxide prices rallied in late June. SMM praseodymium oxide prices rose by 11%, to RMB 385,000/mt.

MOC Released Second Batch Rare Earth Export Quotas in 2013
China's Ministry of Commerce released the second batch of rare earth export quotas in 2013 totaling 15,500 mt, with light rare earth quotas of 13,821 mt, and medium and heavy rare earth quotas of 1,679 mt.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of the fourth batch enterprises that meet the Rare Earth Industry Entry Requirements, including Yiyang Hongyuan Rare Earth Company. There are 40 rare earth enterprises passed the Requirements.
