SMM Zinc Price Forecast (Apr.22- Apr.26)

Economic data from China, Europe and US has been mostly downbeat recently.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 22 (SMM) – Economic data from China, Europe and US has been mostly downbeat recently. The European debt crisis was thought to be easing once Cyprus applied for additional bailout funds, but markets are turning cautious again since the US Federal Reserve will discuss monetary policy again during the May Day holiday when markets are closed. Zinc prices should test USD 1,816.5/mt in the coming week, with SHFE three-month zinc contract prices testing RMB 14,000/mt. Spot discounts will find support from pre-holiday stocking, with discounts for #0 zinc against SHFE 1307 zinc contract prices expected at around RMB 50/mt.
