Chile's Codelco Taps BHP Billiton Executive Arriagada as New CFO

Chilean state copper giant Corporacion Nacional del Cobre, or Codelco, tapped BHP Billiton Ltd. (BHP) executive Ivan Arriagada as its new chief financial officer.

Oct 08, 2012 (Dow Jones -- Chilean state copper giant Corporacion Nacional del Cobre, or Codelco, tapped BHP Billiton Ltd. (BHP) executive Ivan Arriagada as its new chief financial officer.

Codelco had been searching for a new CFO as the former financial chief Thomas Keller took over as chief executive in June.

Arriagada, who headed BHP's Pampa Norte operations in Chile that include the Spence and Cerro Colorado copper mines, will take his post at Codelco on Nov. 19, the state miner said in a statement.
