South China Aluminum: Trading Turns Quiet against Higher Prices

SHFE aluminum prices moved up and rolled back earlier gains on Monday.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 18 (SMM) – SHFE aluminum prices moved up and rolled back earlier gains on Monday, limiting upward room for spot aluminum prices. In South China, transaction for spot aluminum remained quiet since downstream enterprises were reluctant to purchase, with mainstream traded prices at RMB 16,010/mt. Trading turned quiet at higher prices with only a few deals concluded at RMB 16,020/mt.
