The most active SHFE aluminum contract price met resistance at RMB 16,300/mt Tuesday.

SHANGHAI, May 8 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum contract price met resistance at RMB 16,300/mt Tuesday, and investors in spot market remained cautions. However, with fewer goods arriving in South China due to the transporting problem, cargo holders were reluctant to move goods, helping support spot aluminum prices to stabilize within the RMB 16,230-16,250/mt range, with premiums of RMB 100/mt over aluminum price in Shanghai. Transactions turned modest with scarce purchases by enterprises downstream.
