South China Aluminum: Prices Move up with Low Selling Interest

The most active SHFE aluminum prices remained stable at RMB 16,300/mt with strong resilience to decreases.

SHANGHAI, May 4 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum prices remained stable at RMB 16,300/mt Friday with strong resilience to decreases, boosting bullish mood in South China. Cargo holders quoted at RMB 16,250/mt with a few deals done at RMB 16,240/mt. Later, spot prices moved up to RMB 16,270/mt with the gains in futures market. Enterprises downstream remained cautious and purchased according to production needs.
