South China Aluminum: Prices Meet Resistance to Rise Due to Weak Manufacturing Data

The most active SHFE aluminum price hovered around the moving averages on Monday.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 23 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum price hovered around the moving averages on Monday. Spot aluminum prices in South China met resistance to rise in response to the weak manufacturing data. Mainstream transactions were done between RMB 16,060-16,070/mt. Downstream buyers still purchased on an as-needed basis, leaving trading light.
