SHANGHAI, Mar. 23 (SMM) – On Friday, SHFE 1206 aluminum contract became the most active one, with prices opening at a low of RMB 16,175/mt after falling for 4 days. Later, prices moved up but were still below the 60-day moving average, showing more resilience to declines compared with the LME aluminum prices overnight. Spot prices in Nanhai stabilized at the RMB 15,970-15,980/mt range. Low buying interest downstream depressed traders’ willingness to sell goods at low prices. Market remained modest.
