East China Aluminum: Prices Fall with Stronger Resistance

Traded prices of spot aluminum in Shanghai were between RMB 15,880-15,920/mt on Tuesday.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 14 (SMM) – Traded prices of spot aluminum in Shanghai were between RMB 15,880-15,920/mt on Tuesday, with discounts of RMB 20-60/mt over the SHFE current-month aluminum price. Low-iron aluminum was traded between RMB 15,980-16,020/mt in Shanghai. Traded prices of spot aluminum in Wuxi were between RMB 15,840-15,880/mt. SHFE aluminum prices followed a downtrend and consumption remained weak on Tuesday. Thus, spot prices in East China fell with strong resistance at RMB 15,900/mt, depressing goods holders’ selling interest. Trading market was quiet in general.
