SHANGHAI, Aug. 11 (SMM) – Spot aluminum prices continuously rose on August 11th after most active SHFE aluminum contract prices climbed following a lower opening price. Mainstream trading prices in the area were between RMB 18,280-18,320/mt. Market supplies were limited at the beginning due to unwillingness to sell. Purchases at lower prices later pushed up aluminum quotes, but consumption failed to follow suite, therefore market transactions were hardly reported after spot aluminum prices rose.
