SHANGHAI, Aug. 2 (SMM) – As most active SHFE aluminum contract prices opened lower and struggled at the 5-day moving average, spot aluminum prices in south China fell in response. Mainstream traded prices in the area were between RMB 18,720-18,740/mt. Though goods holders increased their supplies, wait-and-see sentiment was strong among downstream processing enterprises, thereby dragging down mainstream traded prices. Overall market transactions were limited.
