Weekly Review and Forecast on China's Cobalt Market (Mar. 7-11)

A domestic cobalt producer that has 5,000 mt of capacity reported to SMM that the company will adjust prices.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 4 (SMM) -- Based on performance of LME and MB cobalt prices, SMM believes that cobalt prices will experience slight corrections but will be largely stable in the following week.

A domestic cobalt producer that has 5,000 mt of capacity reported to SMM that the company will adjust prices if cobalt prices released on MB website continue to rise in the following week. However, upward momentum of cobalt prices will be curbed by relatively weak downstream demand. In this context, prices will remain stable in the short term, but enquiries will be more active.
