China Imported Iron Ore Stockpiles up This Week

BEIJING, July 16 -- Inventories of iron ore at China's major ports rose 320,000 tonnes this week to reach 72.52 million tonnes, industry consultancy Mysteel said on Friday.

Australian ores rose 400,000 tonnes to reach 24.15 million tonnes, 33 percent of the total.

Ores originating in India stood at 18.23 million tonnes, down 120,000 tonnes since last week.

Brazilian ores ended at 16.02 million tonnes, up 150,000 tonnes since last week, Mysteel said.
