SYDNEY, Apr. 20 -- Japan's Toho Zinc (5707.T: Quote) has raised its offer for Australian zinc miner CBH Resources (CBH.AX: Quote) to 30 Australian cents per share, hoping to knock out rival bidder Nyrstar (NYR.BR: Quote), the world's top zinc producer.

CBH Resources revealed the new offer on Tuesday, advising its shareholders to take no action for now. Toho Zinc, which had previously bid 25 cents a share, is looking to raise its existing stake in CBH Resources to no more than 49.9 percent.
