SHANGHAI, Dec. 21 (SMM) -- One spokesman of Konkola Copper Mines (KCM), the largest copper producer in Zambia said the wage negotiations have been resumed, and current proceedings are going off smoothly.

Last week, workers refused to accept the 3% increase in salary proposed by the employer, and insisted the 25% increase, and threatened to go on strike.

KCM has an annual copper output of 305,000 mt, and plans to increase copper output to 500,000 mt in 2011.
