SMM Daily Review - 2009/12/14 Scrap Copper Market

SHANGHAI, Dec. 14 (SMM) -- Traded prices of #1 scrap copper were in the RMB 50,200-50,500/mt range in north China. Traders increased selling volumes in view of higher prices, and market inquires were brisk.

Traded prices of #1 scrap copper were in the RMB 50,300-50,600/mt range in east China. Middlemen reported brisk activities, showing interest in replenishing goods, but traders remained unwilling to move goods, causing trading volume to fail to expand. 

Traded prices of #1 scrap copper were in the RMB 50,900-51,100/mt range in south China. Suppliers and buyers remained mixed on prices, resulting in moderate transactions.
