December 22, China Mineral Resources Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Mineral Resources) wholly-owned subsidiary China Mineral Resources Zambia Geological Engineering Company is located in the Zambian capital Lusaka Province, the Kashi copper and gold mining cooperation project (the first phase of the project) has been completed and put into production.
It is understood that the Kashi copper and gold mining cooperation project is the second mine project jointly developed by China Mineral Resources and Daye Kaiyuan Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. Construction of the project began in May 2021. Up to now, more than 260 meters of ramp excavation and 110 meters of roadway excavation have been completed. The concentrator with a daily ore handling capacity of 350 tons has been completed, and installation and commissioning have been completed and officially put into production. Following the commissioning of the first phase of the project, the two sides plan to build a new production line with a daily ore capacity of 700t, which will be put into production by the end of next year, when the daily ore capacity is about 1050 tons and the annual ore capacity is about 300000 tons.
Kashixi Copper and Gold Mine is located about 43 kilometers northeast of Lusaka City, Lusaka Province, the capital of Zambia, with convenient transportation. The mining area is bounded by near north-south-trending faults and is divided into east and west orebodies. It has been verified by exploration that the orebody in the west (50gram 59) holds 1.97 million tons of ore, and the average grade of Cu is 1.54%. The amount of copper metal is 30900 tons. The eastern orebody (4-0-78) holds 1.2536 million tons of ore, with an average grade of 3.18% Cu and 39900 tons of copper metal. The first phase of the project takes the east orebody as the first mining section. According to the current market situation, it will bring better economic benefits to both parties.
