SMM10, March 16 -: Newmont Goldcorp said on Tuesday that its $175 million Ahafo mill expansion project in Ghana had begun commercial production.

Taking into account the Subika underground project, which was successfully completed in November 2018, the expansion of the mill is expected to increase the average annual gold production of the gold mine by 75000 to 100000 ounces in the first five years and to 550000 to 650000 ounces by 2024, starting in 2020, while reducing processing costs.
