Cobre and BHP Subsidiary Sign LOI for Copper-Silver Mine Joint Venture in Botswana

Australian mining company Cobre announced that it has signed a letter of intent for a primary copper-silver mine with a wholly-owned subsidiary of BHP. The two parties will conduct exclusive negotiations on a joint venture agreement for material interests in Cobre's Kitlanya West and East copper mine projects in Botswana. Prior to reaching an agreement, Cobre participated in BHP's Xplor exploration program.
