Last week, cell makers were in a bargaining phase with upstream and downstream suppliers, resulting in low delivery volumes and high cell inventory levels. In terms of prices, P-type stabilized, while N-type showed a downward trend. Currently, the price of high-efficiency PERC 182 solar cells (23.2% efficiency and above) was 0.30-0.30 yuan/W; PERC 210 solar cells were priced around 0.30-0.30 yuan/W; Topcon 182 solar cells (24.7% efficiency and above) were priced around 0.28-0.295 yuan/W; Topcon 210RN solar cells were priced at 0.29-0.30 yuan/W; and Topcon 210 solar cells were priced at 0.30-0.30 yuan/W. Recently, N-type solar cell prices declined, mainly due to a significant oversupply in July, with external purchase orders down MoM from June. Last week, cell makers were affected by both upstream and downstream, with upstream wafer costs rising and cell prices falling. Specialized cell makers, under inventory pressure, find it difficult to stabilize prices, leading to increased losses.

[SMM PV News] US Small-Scale Solar Hits Record 1.9 GW in Q4 2025
The US solar market reached a new milestone in the final quarter of 2025, with distributed capacity surging to a record 1.9 GW. According to the Institute for Local Self-Reliance (ILSR), solar accounted for 78% of the 46 GW of new national power capacity added last year. While utility-scale projects dominated at 63%, the 15% from residential and community solar highlights strong distributed growth. Defined as 'small solar' (under 1 MW), this segment saw a Q4 surge partly driven by homeowners rushing to secure the 25D residential property tax credit before its scheduled phase-down.
