SMM News on February 8th: In January, China's lithium hexafluorophosphate production reached 10,140 tons, showing a 20.6% increase compared to the previous month and a 23.1% increase year-on-year. On the demand side, electrolyte manufacturers maintained the practice of determining production based on sales in December, but some opted to pre-order February's demand in January, leading to a slight increase in lithium hexafluorophosphate demand. Additionally, as the price of lithium hexafluorophosphate has fallen to a low-cost level, some electrolyte manufacturers are purchasing it to build raw material inventories. On the supply side, lithium hexafluorophosphate factories are coordinating orders with electrolyte manufacturers, resulting in an increased operating rate. Furthermore, following the completion of significant destocking activities in December, lithium hexafluorophosphate factories have begun replenishing finished product inventories as usual.
