On August 15, the National Bureau of Statistics showed that in July, the production of major energy products in industrial enterprises above the designated size maintains year-on-year growth.

On August 15, the National Bureau of Statistics showed that in July, the production of major energy products in industrial enterprises above the designated size maintains year-on-year growth. Compared with June, the production of raw coal and crude oil slowed down, while the production of natural gas and electric power accelerated. In July, 380 million mt of raw coal was produced, a year-on-year increase of 0.1%, and the growth rate was 2.4 percentage points slower than that in June, with an average daily output of 12.18 million mt. The volume of imported coal was 39.26 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 66.9%, and the growth rate was 43.2 percentage points lower than that in June. In July, 17.31 million mt of crude oil was produced, an increase of 1.0% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 0.9 percentage points slower than that in June, with an average daily output of 558,000 tons. The volume of imported crude oil was 43.69 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 17.0%, and the growth rate was 28.4 percentage points lower than that in June. In July, 18.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced, a year-on-year increase of 7.6%, and the growth rate was 2.1 percentage points faster than that in June, with an average daily output of 590 million cubic meters. Imported natural gas was 10.31 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 18.5%, and the growth rate was 1.1 percentage points slower than that in June

Doosan Invests $701.5M to Expand CCL Production in Korea and China Through 2028
Doosan Group said on September 17 that it will invest approximately KRW 968.4 billion (about USD 701.5 million) to expand high-end copper-clad laminate (CCL) production in South Korea and China. Roughly KRW 421 billion will expand domestic CCL lines for optical modules, while about KRW 547.4 billion will build a new plant in Changshu, China, for AI accelerators and network switches via wholly-owned Doosan Electro-Materials Changshu, with an additional KRW 182.4 billion capital injection. The three-year investment runs through 2028, with new lines scheduled to begin operations in the second half of 2028. In H1 2026, utilization at Doosan's Jeungpyeong and Gimcheon plants reached 109.8% and 102.7%, respectively, while the China plant ran at 92.2%. Q2 2026 optical-module CCL sales jumped more than tenfold year-on-year to about KRW 50 billion, and network-board CCL sales reached KRW 369.2 billion, accounting for more than half of the Electronics Business Group's revenue.
