Due to the high price and tight supply of silica in Inner Mongolia and the low silicon metal prices, some silicon plants in north China began to purchase cheap silica from Gansu and Shaanxi. If silicon metal prices continue to move at low levels, silica demand in Gansu and Shaanxi will improve slightly in the near term.
