Despite the falling coal prices, the prices of silicon coal ran steadily this week.

SHANGHAI, May 26 (SMM) - Despite the falling coal prices, the prices of silicon coal ran steadily this week. Quotes in Xinjiang remained firm amid the local supply tightness, and those in Shanxi and Ningxia stood stable this week. In detail, the ex-factory prices in Xinjiang were 2,000-2,200 yuan/mt, down 100 yuan/mt, those in Shanxi stood at 1,300-1,400 yuan/mt, and those in Ningxia were 1,850-1,950 yuan/mt. The prices of silicon coal are unlikely to increase in the short term.
