SHANGHAI, May 15 (SMM) - Rare earth concentrate prices rose slightly last week. Quotes of rare earth carbonate grew from 35,100-35,400 yuan/mt on May 5 to 36,900-37,400 yuan/mt last Friday, up about 5.4%, and those of medium-yttrium and europium-rich ore climbed from 201,000-202,000 yuan/mt to 205,000-207,000 yuan/mt, up around 2.2%.
The price increase in rare earth concentrate was caused by the mushrooming PrNd and dysprosium oxide prices.
