Kazakhstan: Copper Production in First Quarter Fell 14.5% Year-On-Year

According to foreign news on April 18, Kazakhstan Statistics Bureau released data last Tuesday that the production of copper cathode in the first quarter fell by 14.5% year-on-year to 104,734 mt.

SHANGHAI, Apr 24 (SMM) – According to foreign news on April 18, Kazakhstan Statistics Bureau released data last Tuesday that the production of copper cathode in the first quarter fell by 14.5% year-on-year to 104,734 mt.

Output in March stood at 37,443 mt, up 20.2% from February but down 13.4% compared with the same period last year.

Copper miners KAZ Minerals and Glencore's Kazzinc contribute to a large share of Kazakhstan's metals output.
