The bankruptcy of the US Silicon Valley Bank undoubtedly poured cold water on the Fed. Risky assets such as copper dived immediately following the impact of financial risks. When the sentiment was digested, the market began to bet on the Fed’s interest rate hike in March by 25 basis points, versus previous 50-basis-point rate hike previously expected. A small number of market participants even believe that the Fed will not raise interest rates in March.
