SHANGHAI, Jan 31 (SMM) - Energy storage sector has been regarded as one of the new energy markets with great momentum, and the development of large-capacity battery cells has become a shared goal for market players.
In the past year, the production of 280Ah energy-storage battery cells has been expanding with many companies expediting the release of 280Ah battery cell capacity, including CATL, Guoxuan Hi-Tech, EVE Energy, Ruipu Lanjun Energy, Xiamen Hithium, and Great Power.
In addition, above-280Ah battery cells are also gaining popularity. Trina Energy Storage has launched new 300Ah battery cells; EVE Energy is the first to launch 560Ah battery cells; BYD’s energy storage system featuring blade batteries will be rolled out this year; Ruipu Lanjun Energy is accelerating the research and development of 320Ah battery cells; Xiamen Hithium will update its 280Ah battery cells to introduce 300Ah ones.
In a word, driven by the growth of 280Ah battery cells, the technological competition for large-capacity energy-storage battery cells is in full swing.
