CATL and Fisker Reached Agreement on Battery Supply

US electric car maker Fisker said on November 2 that it had entered into a partnership with Chinese battery maker CATL, who will supply two different battery packs for its flagship Ocean SUV.

SHANGHAI, Nov 3 (SMM) - US electric car maker Fisker said on November 2 that it had entered into a partnership with Chinese battery maker CATL, who will supply two different battery packs for its flagship Ocean SUV.

- China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM): From January to September 2021, the top ten countries in terms of China export value of automobiles were the United States, Japan, Mexico, Germany, the Russian Federation, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Australia, Belgium and Vietnam. The cumulative export value of automotive goods from the above ten countries was US$43.91 billion, accounting for 48.0% of the total export value of China’s all automobiles.

- Guangqi Group announced through WeChat on November 2 that it has approved the "proposal on the construction project of self-developed pilot battery": in order to accelerate the industrialization of self-developed battery technology and to validate the battery process sophistication, product consistency, product cost, etc., it is agreed to the carry out the self-development battery construction project. The total investment is 336 million yuan.
