SHANGHAI, Jul 13 (SMM) — The overall performance of new energy car manufacturers is relatively good in June. Sales of NIO, Xiaopeng and Li Auto have refreshed their monthly sales records. NIO sold 8,083 new energy vehicles in June, which is the first breakthrough of 8,000 mark, an increase of 20.4% on the month. Sales of Li Auto automobile rebounded in June and stood at 7,713 cars, an increase of 78.4% on the month, mainly due to the remodeled models, which drove demand. Xiaopeng sold 6,565 vehicles in June, of which the P7 performed well with 4,730 vehicles, ranking second in sales by new automakers.

According to the semi-annual data, the hierarchy among the new automakers is clear. A total of 41,900 NIO vehicles were sold from January to June. In 2020, NIO only sold 43,700 new energy vehicles, accounting for 96% of NIO’s total sales last year. This exceeded the 30,700 Xiaopeng vehicles and the 30,100 Li Auto vehicles sold. The cumulative sales of Nezha Motors and Leapmotors new energy vehicles from January to June were 21,100 and 13,000 vehicles. Compared with the sales at the beginning of the year, sales rose by 134% and 160% respectively in June, which were much higher than the 12%, 43% and 9% of NIO, Li Auto and Xiaopeng. Sales of Nezha exceeded 4,000 vehicles for three consecutive months. With the launch of Nezha's subsequent new models and the deep exploration of the A00 model by Leapmotor, there are still variables in the new automakers pattern.
