Korean companies research and develop Micro LED driver IC chips to reduce the amount of 5ax 6

South Korean IC designer TLi recently announced that it has successfully developed and commercialized a Micro LED display driver IC product "TL3103UD". Compared with competitive products, its biggest highlight is that it can help display screen manufacturers greatly reduce chip usage.

ETNews quoted a company spokesman as saying that to achieve high-resolution Micro LED display, it generally requires six LED drivers for each display, which generally comes from Chinese suppliers, while the company's above-mentioned products only need one to support Micro LED display.

"this will enable display manufacturers to ensure a competitive advantage in the price of drive panels and optimize their display designs." In addition, due to the simplification of circuit design, display manufacturers can also ensure the reliability of the PCB.

It is reported that TLi is currently supplying TL3103UD samples to South Korean Micro LED signage manufacturers and LED module manufacturers, as well as to Chinese companies. The company plans to start mass production as early as the second half of the year and is expected to launch Micro LED displays that use its IC driver next year.
