Secondary lead smelters operating rates fell to 52.2% this week

Operating rates across licensed smelters of secondary lead in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan and Guizhou averaged 52.2% in the week ended October 30, down 4.1 percentage points from the previous week, showed an SMM survey.

SHANGHAI, Oct 30 (SMM) ― Operating rates across licensed smelters of secondary lead in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan and Guizhou averaged 52.2% in the week ended October 30, down 4.1 percentage points from the previous week, showed an SMM survey.

 

The average operating rate in Anhui dropped 2.9 percentage points on the week to 47.1% as Anhui Dahua reduced output.

 

The average operating rates in Henan and Jiangsu lost 2.7 and 13.3 percentage points to 74.1% and 40% respectively, and Henan Jinli and Jiangsu New Chunxing trimmed output due to shortage of raw materials.

 

Guizhou Jinlong stepped up production after completing technology upgrading, while Guizhou Yongxin suspended production for two days for environmental inspections, which lifted the local average operating rate by 4.9 percentage points to 58.5%.
