Primary lead smelters operating rates rose to 62.6% this week

Operating rates across primary lead smelters in Henan, Hunan and Yunnan provinces gained 1 percentage point from the previous week to 62.6%in the week ended December 4, showed an SMM survey.

SHANGHAI, Dec 4 (SMM) — Operating rates across primary lead smelters in Henan, Hunan and Yunnan provinces gained 1 percentage point from the previous week to 62.6%in the week ended December 4, showed an SMM survey.

The average operating rate remained unchanged at 77.7% in Henan.

The average operating rate gained 3.9 percentage points to 51.6% in Hunan as Hunan Shuikoushan returned to normal production this week.

Unstable production at Yunnan Gejiu Chuangyuan lowered local operating rates by 0.4 percentage point to 42%.
