Taiji Semiconductor and China Security Semiconductor Industry Alliance sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

SMM: on Sept. 12, Sun Hongwei, chairman of Taiji Semiconductor (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Taiji Semiconductor), led the general manager of the company, Zhang Guangming, and some middle and senior managers to Shenzhen to attend the founding meeting of China Security Semiconductor Industry Alliance. Chairman Sun Hongwei and Yang Jincai, party committee secretary and president of Shenzhen Security Industry Association, signed strategic cooperation agreements on behalf of Taiji Semiconductor and Security Semiconductor Alliance respectively.

According to the agreement, on the premise of reaching full consensus, the two sides will form a close strategic partnership and continue to carry out in-depth all-round cooperation between the two sides in the semiconductor industry chain in the field of security.

China Security Semiconductor Industry Alliance, as a non-profit social group composed of enterprises, scientific research institutes and users engaged in security semiconductor products manufacturing, technology research and development, innovation and application services, currently has more than 40 member units, covering the upstream, middle and lower reaches of semiconductors. With the tenet of "industrial link and application landing", the alliance takes the national industrial policy as the guidance, the market as the guide, the enterprise as the main body, and the domestic mainstream semiconductor enterprises to create industry norms through vertical cooperation between upstream, middle and downstream manufacturers. System, components, chips and other industry chains are horizontally integrated to create a semiconductor technology alliance, a pan-security industry alliance, and a large platform business alliance. To achieve scientific and technological innovation, resource sharing and mutual benefit of the industry, and enhance the ability of risk prevention and control.

Chairman Sun Hongwei said that the fate of China's semiconductor industry must be in his own hands. As the Sino-US trade war has gradually evolved into a major trend of all-round confrontation between China and the United States, China's semiconductor industry is the first to bear the brunt. As a result, the central government has clearly proposed to speed up the formation of a new development pattern of "domestic and international circulation as the main body, domestic and international double cycles promote each other". In this context, China Security Semiconductor Industry Alliance was established at the right time, and came into being. The purpose of the alliance is to form industrial ecology, agglomerate industrial forces, stimulate industrial vitality, and build our overall industrial advantages of symbiotic growth in the field of pan-security. It is believed that under the overall planning and coordination of the alliance and around the strategic orientation of the national semiconductor industry policy, the members of the alliance will certainly be able to walk out a broad road of independent, controllable and innovative development with the sharing of resources, complementary advantages and the combination of strong and strong forces.

Chairman Sun Hongwei believes that there should be both responsibilities and achievements in the semiconductor industry. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Wuxi Taiji Industrial Co., Ltd., the first listed company in Jiangsu Province, although Taiji Semiconductor has been established for only 8 years, it has a history of 50 years because it was born in Texas Instruments in 1969. Since its establishment, through its own continuous upgrading and efforts, Taiji Semiconductor has grown into the only professional foundry with state-owned capital background in China. At the same time, it also provides memory closed testing process services for international top customers (Western Digital, Magnesia, etc.). We provide them with post-process services for DRAM and NAND FLASH memory products, and we rank first many times in the quarterly reviews of these top international manufacturers. At the same time, through efforts in recent years, Taiji Semiconductor has developed a school of its own in the field of memory industry and automotive products. It has not only formed a professional manufacturing quality assurance system, but also passed the on-site audits of world-class customers such as mainland Germany, Bosch, Valeo, Hitachi, Huawei and so on. At present, Taiji Semiconductor has formed DRAM, NAND FLASH from traditional packaging to advanced packaging, almost all packaging forms of full coverage. At the same time, in recent years, we are constantly committed to the building and upgrading of the test platform. In the past two years, we have invested more than 30 million US dollars to upgrade the test platform of DRAM and NAND FLASH in order to meet the technical performance requirements of international top customers for the next generation products.

Chairman Sun Hongwei stressed that the only way to achieve win-win cooperation in the semiconductor industry is to achieve win-win cooperation. The signing of this strategic cooperation agreement is a new milestone in the development of Taiji Semiconductor.
