SMM: Sept. 9, Ukrainian Hydro General Manager Sirota said that the company plans to build a 212MW solar storage plant with the United States Agency for International Development and the World Bank, and that the feasibility study of the project should be completed by the end of the year. 'We have seen this combination of photovoltaic power stations, batteries, hydropower stations and pumped storage power stations abroad, 'Mr. Sirotta told the parliamentary energy committee on Wednesday. We also want to implement this kind of project in Ukraine. He said that project financing is not a problem and is borne by the World Bank and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
He pointed out that the power station would be built on the company's own land and hoped that the project would ease the pressure on the distribution system. He also said that the project will not receive subsidies for green electricity prices.
