SHANGHAI, August 28 (SMM) — Operating rates across primary lead smelters in Henan, Hunan and Yunnan provinces averaged 58.4% in the week ended August 28, up 1.1 percentage points from the previous week, showed an SMM survey.
The average operating rate for smelters in Henan gained 2.1 percentage points to 73.6%, and rates for Yunnan and Hunan remained unchanged at 35.8% and 47.2% respectively.
Henan Jinli completed maintenance in the middle of this week and is expected to return to normal production this weekend. West Mining started one-month maintenance this week, which is expected to reduce primary lead output by about 7,000 mt.
