Social inventories of primary aluminium in China rose this week, with stocks in Shanghai, Wuxi and Gongyi expanding sharply.

SHANGHAI, Aug 20 (SMM) — Social inventories of primary aluminium in China rose this week, with stocks in Shanghai, Wuxi and Gongyi expanding sharply.
SMM data showed that stocks across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, increased 25,000 mt from a week ago to stand at 762,000 mt as of Thursday August 20.

SMM data showed that social inventories of refined zinc ingots across Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong and Hebei increased 1,700 mt from last Friday July 9 to 122,000 mt as of Monday July 12. The stocks were up 6,200 mt from July 5.
