SHANGHAI, Jul 17 (SMM) – Silicon metal inventories across Huangpu port, Kunming city and Tianjin port totalled 49,000 mt as of July 17, roughly unchanged from last week, showed SMM data.
SMM learned that transactions in the southern Chinese market were relatively active, and the quantity of goods flowing in and out of warehouses at Huangpu port and in Kunming increased. Silicon inventories at plants are expected to gradually transfer to social warehouses in the near term.
In north China, large factories in Xinjiang had not resumed production. This, coupled with a rebound in prices that improved trades, slightly drove down silicon metal inventories in the north.
