Nickel ore inventories at Chinese ports fell 179,000 wmt on week

Nickel ore inventories across all Chinese ports continued to fall this week, decreasing 179,000 wmt from April 30 to 8.67 million wmt as of May 8, showed SMM data. This came after a decline of 347,000 wmt in the week ended April 30.

SHANGHAI, May 9 (SMM) – Nickel ore inventories across all Chinese ports continued to fall this week, decreasing 179,000 wmt from April 30 to 8.67 million wmt as of May 8, showed SMM data.
This came after a decline of 347,000 wmt in the week ended April 30.


In metal content, the stocks fell 1,500 mt this week to 71,300 mt.


SMM data also showed that nickel ore stocks across seven major Chinese ports declined 50,000 wmt this week to 7.51 million wmt.
