Aluminium billet inventories fell 1,700 mt on week

This marked the 11th consecutive week of decline

SHANGHAI, Dec 26 (SMM) – SMM data showed that stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China shrank 1,700 mt from Thursday December 19 and stood at 50,600 mt as of Thursday December 26.

This marked the 11th consecutive week of decline. Stocks dipped 2,100 mt in the previous week.

Inventory

Foshan, Guangdong – 16,900 mt

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 15,800 mt

Changzhou, Jiangsu – 4,000 mt

Huzhou, Zhejiang –10,000 mt

Nanchang, Jiangxi – 3,900 mt

The outbound volume of the aluminium billet rose by 800 mt to 48,300 mt last week, an increase of 1.6%. Aluminium prices fluctuated at high levels, and downstream users were less willing to purchase.
