SMM11, November 12: November 11, Tianhua Chaojing announced that its subsidiary Yibin Tianyi Lithium Science and Technology Co., Ltd. and Ningde Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. signed a "cooperation agreement" in Ningde City.

According to the market and production and management demand, the Ningde era gives priority to purchasing lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide products from the Tianyi lithium industry; Tianyi lithium industry gives priority to meeting the procurement demand and ensuring the supply of the Ningde era. According to the product index parameters required by the Ningde era, the Tianyi lithium industry processes and produces battery grade lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide products for the Ningde era and supplies them to the Ningde era; the term of cooperation shall run from the date of signing of this Agreement to November 07, 2024.

Tianhua Chaojing said that the signing of this agreement means that Tianyi lithium industry and Ningde era are partners in the lithium power industry chain, in order to jointly create the competitive advantage of the lithium power industry chain, to achieve common resistance to market risks, to achieve the purpose of win-win cooperation, will be conducive to the rapid development of lithium power material project business in Tianyi lithium industry.

On September 5, Ningde Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Ningde Times") announced that it will formally establish a long-term strategic partnership with Bosch Group (hereinafter referred to as "Bosch"). Thereafter, the Ningde era will provide a reliable power core for the Bosch 48V power battery system on a global scale.

On September 18, Ningde Times signed a global power battery procurement agreement with Daimlerka bus Company. Ningde Times will provide power batteries for several truck series launched by Daimlerka bus Company since 2021, including Mercedes-Benz eActros,Freightliner eCascadia and Freightliner eM2.

On September 25, Ningde Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Ningde Times") and Yibin Municipal Government signed a project investment agreement, the two sides will establish a comprehensive strategic partnership to build a new energy industry base in the west. According to the framework of the agreement, Ningde era plans to invest in the construction of power battery projects in Yibin, and gradually promote the construction of a complete new energy battery and upstream and downstream core industrial chain system, jointly build a new energy industry base in western China based in Sichuan, facing the southwest, radiating the whole country, and moving towards the "Belt and Road".

On September 26, BAIC New Energy and Ningde era jointly created the CTP battery pack (Cell to Pack, module-free power battery bag) in BAIC New Energy headquarters-China Blue Valley officially released. According to officials, the battery package has an energy density of more than 200Wh/kg.

On October 14, Ningde Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. ("Ningde Times") signed a long-term strategic cooperation agreement with (Volkswagen Caminh (Latin America) Card bus Company, one of the three major commercial vehicle companies in Latin America ("VWCO" for short). The Ningde era will provide VWCO with full life cycle battery solutions, including battery development, manufacturing, recycling and cascade utilization.

On October 18, Ningde Times officially broke ground at its first overseas factory in Thuringia, Germany. According to the plan, the Ningde Times European plant covers an area of 23 hectares. The production line includes cell and module products, and 14GWh battery capacity is expected to be achieved in 2022.

Recently, according to some media reports, Tesla and local battery company Ningde Times reached a preliminary agreement on battery supply to the Shanghai plant and will discuss a potential global battery supply agreement, which means that if the news is true, the Tesla battery supply chain, which has long been controlled by Panasonic, will face major changes.

According to the report, Tesla CEO Elon Musk traveled to Shanghai in late August for a meeting with Ningde era executives for about 40 minutes before the two companies reached a non-binding agreement and planned to sign a formal supply agreement no earlier than 2020 for the purchase of power batteries for Model 3, but there was no guarantee that a partnership would be reached. However, neither side verified the above information.
