SMM, Sept. 16-Tesla is recently seeking an agreement with Brazil's Sigma Lithium Resources Group to provide Tesla with lithium mines to meet the needs of producing electric vehicle batteries.
If a final agreement can be reached, both companies will benefit directly, but only if Tesla opens an electric car battery factory in the US.
Although lithium mine prices have fallen sharply before, lithium miners such as Sigma remain optimistic that the broad prospects of the electric car market can drive the development of the lithium mining market.
