Zijin Mining starts pilot run at its copper smelter

Upon full operation, the smelter could produce 150,000 mt of copper cathode and 600,000 mt of sulfuric acid per year

SHANGHAI, Aug 19 (SMM) – Zijin Mining's copper smelter in north China’s Heilongjiang province started trial production on August 18, SMM learned on Monday August 19. 

Upon full operation, the smelter could produce 150,000 mt of copper cathode and 600,000 mt of sulfuric acid per year. Its annual production value is expected to reach 10 billion yuan.
