Weiqiao lowers prebaked anode purchasing prices for Aug

This followed after it cut prices by the same amount for Jul

SHANGHAI, Jul 31 (SMM) – Shandong Weiqiao Group, one of the top aluminium producers in China, continued to lower the benchmark purchasing prices for prebaked anode by 50 yuan/mt for August, after it cut prices by the same amount for July.

The decline brought the purchasing prices for August to 2,995 yuan/mt in cash.

The company raised prices for the first time this year by 100 yuan/mt for June.

Shanghai base metals were mostly lower on Tuesday morning as investors awaited the release of China's trade data for June. Meanwhile, their counterparts on the LME also fell for the most part.
