March's purchasing prices of high-grade NPI at a northern stainless steel mill increased 55 yuan/mtu from Feb, to 1,020 yuan/mtu

SHANGHAI, Feb 26 (SMM) – March's purchasing prices of high-grade nickel pig iron (NPI) at a northern stainless steel mill increased 55 yuan/mtu from February, to 1,020 yuan/mtu delivered to the plant with tax included, an SMM survey found on Tuesday February 26.

Higher prices of nickel since the start of the year drove NPI producers to hike offers, which accounted for the higher purchasing prices.

In February's tender at the stainless steel mill in the north, purchasing prices of high-grade NPI rose 30 yuan/mtu from January, to 965 yuan/mtu.
