Price CenterDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, Feb 25 (SMM) – China’s imports of metal scrap declined 32.7% from a year earlier to stand at 330,000 mt in January, the General Administration of Customs said on Saturday February 23.
Copper scrap accounted for 180,000 mt, down 11.5% year on year, while aluminium scrap accounted for 120,000 mt, down 34.4% year on year.
Imports of alumina stood at 80,000 mt in January, with a year-on-year increase of 5.4%, while exports came in at 142,864 mt.
