This lowered iron ore stocks across those ports by 500,000 mt on the week to 133.32 million mt as of Nov 2

SHANGHAI, Nov 2 (SMM) – Daily average deliveries departing 35 major Chinese ports climbed to a record high of 2.81 million mt for the week ended Friday November 2, up 88,000 mt from a week ago. This shrank iron ore stocks across those ports by 500,000 mt on the week to 133.32 million mt as of Friday.

More deliveries from ports in Shandong province and along the Yangtze River contributed to the surge. While heavy air pollution put Tangshan mills in cutbacks this week, daily average deliveries departing Jingtang and Caofeidian ports remained at a high level of 300,000 mt, SMM learned.
